Deciding on a Title

We are in the process of creating our film magazine that our film will be featured on the front of. We have looked at other film magazines for inspiration and recognised some codes and conventions that they include. We know that the title of our magazine will be a very important aspect because it will be the first thing the viewer will see, most likely the biggest piece of text on the page and it will give an immediate representation of our magazine and we want it to be the right one. We have come up with some possible choice for a title and we will ask our target audience what they think is the best one. We asked 25 people from our target audience, both male and female. Here are the results...

Movie Buzz: 2
Cinematic: 1
Premiere: 7
Spotlight: 9
Movie Juice: 4
StarStruck: 2

From this research we have found that Spotlight is the favourite so this will be the title of our film magazine. Now we will need to make a masthead for our front cover.
We think that Spotlight is the best title to use for our film magazine because spotlights relate to the film industry, for example when someone stands on stage they are under the spotlight. When something or someone is under the spotlight it means they are being focused on.
