The mis-en-scene for our trailer

We have drawn out a rough story board for our teaser trailer. Our trailer will be a thriller therefore we had to consider the locations and props we will use. From all our research my group and I found that a forest scene is a typical location for horrors and to build suspense so we decided that this will be a location that we will utilize. Lucky for us a forest is opposite Abbie’s home and so it saved us travel!

Our teaser trailer is about a psychological thriller about a girl who is being or thinks is being followed. Therefore the second location we chose is Abbie’s house. There were several reasons for this decision. The ideology we are trying to represent is the fact that anyone could be in the position of being followed so we wanted to shoot in a location which is relatable. It is the average house of an average girl. This makes the plot scarier. We shot all the scenes during daylight as we felt this would complement the actor and locations best. Although it is typical to create scary themed film in the night we wanted to break that convention and invent something new. This gi
ves our product a unique selling point.
