The mise on scene is everything that can be seen on the screen. This includes props location and costume. I will now specify the whole mise en scene of our trailer.
Location:
Our first location is in my house. We used the staircase for some scenes. We also used my bedroom for the first scenes where I wake up suddenly.
Our second location is the forest opposite my house. We used this location to give a spooky isolated feel to the trailer.
Costume:
All through the film I am dressed in casual clothes like jeans and T-shirts. This is because we wanted the audience to be able to relate to the main character. The clothes I wore were also quite dark colours. This was because we wanted her clothes to reflect the mood of the film and the mood of the character. The darkness represent the horror aspect of the trailer. My hair was also a mess when we filmed and this was to represent the desperation of the character. I made my mascara run down my face to make it look like I was crying and my make up also looked a mess. This was to show the characters state of mind and how she was feeling. If she would have looked perfect and done up it would not looking realistic and would not be believable to the viewer.
Props:
The main props that can be seen within our trailer are,
Bed
Duvet
Cushions
Curtains
Mirror
Knife
Door
Banisters
Chair
