We have added a few changes like the banner at the bottom, added another cover story and re-arranged some of the positions of the text. However, this is not final! As you can see we still need to add the main image and this obviously will cause further alterations. Nevertheless, we are happy with what we have created so far and once we include the main image, we will go back to our target audience and ask them for suggestions since they are who we are targeting. So far we have struggled with trying to balance the gender. Sometimes it is difficult aiming at the males and not isolating the females and vice versa. We have tried to include topics which interest both genders and the ages between 16-25. Once we add the main image we will add it to the blog!

Is this your final front cover? You are breaking convention in that you have decided to avoid using the opportunity to draw peoples' attention to a big name face on the cover, or an intriguing image to draw your potential audience in.
ReplyDeleteThis is fine, and there are 'no rules' - it is your creation, after all, but I wonder if the cover is too busy with too much information, whereas you could create more of a stir by drawing peoples attention to the (totally intriguing) front cover story on 'Escape is Futile.' Tease your audience - keep them guessing, keep the intrigue up...My suggestion is if you are going to keep all those teasers on the front page, seperate it off from the main article perhaps...?
